I found some pictures of time spent demonstrating at the historic Musée de Venoge – plus some behind the scenes shots of textiles in progress – and wanted to share them with you:
Weaving on the barn-frame loom at Venoge.
At left, my outstanding assistant Emily Taylor.
Here are skeins of yarn being walnut-dyed.
A blanket in goose-eye twill on the loom. The small brown stripe was dyed using walnut extract from walnuts from William Henry Harrison’s home at Vincennes, Grouseland.
Skeins of handspun yarn dyed and drying on the warping board.
Blanket detail on the loom.
